MONCTON, NB, November 14th, 2019 – Personalities from all over the province will shave their heads or undergo a significant haircut between now and November 29th, date of the Tree of Hope Radiothon. Participants in the initiative named Shears for Hope Challenge have two goals:

  • To show solidarity to the many patients who suffer hair loss as part of their cancer treatment; and
  • To raise funds for the Tree of Hope campaign.

The principle is quite simple. Anyone who accepts the challenge commits to raising at least $2,500 from his or her contacts or the general public. He or she also agrees to take a ‘before’ and ‘after’ photo or short video. In most cases, a cancer survivor, a patient, or a loved one of a survivor or of a patient will cut the hair.

Check out the Shears for Hope Challenge site between now and November 29th to see participant photos and campaign progress. https://fdnchudgld.akaraisin.com/shearsforhope
